Meet Unisi! Born on May 11, 2008 in Malawi with the the Chewa tribe blood, Unisi is a super adorable little girl who likes to play balls and help clean the house.

My sponsorship for Unisi and her family is effective immediately and I am going Christmas gift shopping for her this week!

Malawi, a largely agricultural country, is making efforts to overcome decades of underdevelopment and the more recent impact of a growing HIV-Aids problem. Children from countries I’m considering for sponsorship next year include Mali and Sierra Leone.

My first Halloween since I moved to Taipei

“Yo, PC(initials for Paul Chen), PChen!” I shouted over the gates of Treehouse Academy Haunted House. Paul looked down and waved his huge ass ax at me, “Hey Amanda, you look so hot.”

Of course. Duh!

“Hey, girls!” Rudy with his camera, ready, as the five of us paused for a pose in the back alley behind Treehouse. I know, I know, I was supposed to be the 4th Lady Gaga, but I got too busy with work last week to even go out for costume shopping. However, Annie, Connie and Matea looked so frigging good!

Treehouse’s Haunted House is probably the best I’ve seen. Good job, PC, we are all super proud of you.

P.S. Though I easily recognized John as I made my way through the Haunted House…. see that man crouching down there ready to ambush “Oh hey John!” Then he came over to hug me instead of scaring me.

Thanks to my friends for all for the wonderful times on my first Halloween in Taiwan. I’ll never forget this!
